Preamble



Safety and environmental protection are key priorities for us. We know that our company can only develop and manufacture high-quality products if our employees are able to work in a safe and inspirational workplace and live in an intact environment.
We therefore take account of all safety and environmental considerations from the development phase onwards and engineer processes that minimize harmful environmental impacts as well as any risk to the safety of our employees and others handling our products. We are committed to complying with legal regulations, to assessing all environmental and health and safety considerations, to minimizing impacts and risks, and to continuously improving our performance in all of these areas.

Quality



  • We regard ourselves as a partner to our customers and suppliers, working with them to develop and manufacture sustainable products designed to meet high specifications.
  • Our processes are engineered on the basis of international standards, our customers’ specifications and our own experience. Through strict adherence to all of these, we are able to deliver on our quality promise.
  • Rather than correcting mistakes once they have occurred, we believe it is better to eliminate them altogether. By practising a process of continuous improvement, we aim to sustain our competitive edge. For this reason, we pursue a zero-defects strategy.

  • Health and safety in the workplace



  • The health and safety of our employees is of paramount concern to us. We know that a safe and secure working environment is essential if we are to meet the quality standards required of our products.
  • All of our line managers are aware of the legal requirements for their area of activity and monitor compliance accordingly.
  • Each employee is directly responsible for health and safety in their respective workplace. They have the right of co-determination in matters relating to health and safety in the workplace.
  • Suitable protection is provided for all operationally specific hazards. Each employee is made aware of the rules governing the use of personal protective equipment.
  • The company ensures that all employees receive instruction on safety in the workplace. Training is provided to teach safe working practices and to promote positive attitudes toward safety.
  • Our line managers are required to undertake regular tours of inspection. Any safety issues they discover must be remedied immediately.
  • By promoting a culture of open and honest communication, we aim to motivate every employee to contribute towards the continuous improvement of health and safety in the workplace.
  • We encourage our employees to apply safety principles in their private lives as well. Safety consciousness is just as important outside of work as it is in the workplace.

  • Gifts and other favours will only be made or accepted by Duresco sparingly and if they are in accordance with standard business hospitality, custom and practice.

  • We therefore expect our business partners to protect our intellectual property; equally, we also undertake to respect and protect the intellectual property of our business partners.

  • We store and use personal data of our employees and business partners exclusively for the purposes for which these data are provided to us.
  • We treat such data confidentially.
  • We fully comply with the laws governing the protection of data.

  • This mission statement is binding for all employees.
  • All employees are urged to report to management any actions or incidents that do not conform to this mission statement. In such cases, employees are guaranteed not to suffer any disadvantage from having reported such an action or incident.
  • All employees are requested to raise with management any unclarity or omission in the mission statement and to bring such matters to discussion.
